BITS PhD Admissions - Applications Invited 2012
Today the announcement for BITS has been released for those who would like to persue doctrate in the given disciplines.Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, has invited applications from
eligible candidates for admission into the PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy)
programme, to be offered in the second semester 2011-12, starting in January
2012.

The PhD course is being offered at BITS Goa and Hyderabad campuses,
apart from BITS Pilani. The course is offered in the following disciplines:
- Disciplines of PhD programme offered:Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering
Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Electrical & Electronics
Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering,
- Pharmacy, Physics, Languages and Humanities Interdisciplinary areas such as Biotechnology, Energy, Environment,Robotics; Nano-science & Nanotechnology, Water Management, Public Health etc

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to apply through the prescribed application
form available online at: http://www.bitsadmission.com/. The application fee is
Rs 1500 which can be paid through any of the following modes:
Payment by Credit Cards (All credit cards issued by Master and Visa) or
Payment by Debit Cards (Debit cards issued by VISA of select banks), namely
(Andhra Bank, Axis Bank, Barclays Bank, Canara Bank, City Union Bank,
Corporation Bank, Deutsche Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IOB Bank, Kotak Bank,
Standard Chartered, SBI, Syndicate Bank, Federal Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, GE
Money financial services.)
Payment through DD: Candidates may attach a DD for Rs 1500 which should be
drawn in favor of ‘Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani' payable at (i)
State Bank of India, Pilani (Branch Code: 11309) Or (ii) UCO Bank, Vidya Vihar,
Pilani (Branch Code: 0150) Or (iii) ICICI Bank, Pilani (Branch Code: 1538).
After submitting the online application form, one must take the printout of the
filled form. The duly acknowledged and completed application form, along with
the prescribed fee, should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani - 333031
latest by December 5, 2011 (till 5.00 pm). For any further details regarding
admission and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the
abovementioned website.
